K-rail barriers are in wide use and designed for numerous important purposes, including keeping pedestrians and automobiles from specific areas, aiding in traffic facilitation, ensuring public safety, and making no-access areas as clear as possible.
Universal Traffic Barrel Lift Tool
TrafFix Devices, PSS Innovations, and other major manufacturers of traffic barrels have lift attachments designed only to work with their particular brands. Unfortunately, what this means is that attempting to hoist a sand-filled crash barrel (also called an impact attenuator) with an off-brand device can prove to be problematic. The lift may fail to properly connect to the barrel completely, or may drop it mid way potentially causing injury to those in the immediate vicinity or a deluge of sand.
Ellis Equipment’s Jellifish tool is designed to address this barrel/lift compatibility problem while enabling workers to safely and securely raise up crash barrels no matter which manufacturers they come from. An incredibly effective universal traffic barrel lifting device created and refined by industry expert John Ellis, the patented tool is currently the sole product available that can handle a majority of barrel brands and types. Despite weighing only 60 lbs, the Jellifish is rated to lift up to 2,500 lbs and is 3rd party tested at 3,125 lbs.
Sand-Filled Crash Barrel Lifting Device
The Jellifish is meant to be simple and straightforward to use. With the quality storage bag included with this crash barrel lifting device, workers can transport it with ease and connect it to the machine hook while it remains in the bag. Once the worker takes the bag off and the machine is positioned above the sand barrel, he or she can finish attaching the Jellifish to the barrel by connecting the chain’s tail portion to the grab hook. When the day’s work is done, or the Jellifish is no longer required, it can be dropped back into the storage bag and disconnected from the forklift.
